Louisiana’s Audubon Golf Trail
Think of Louisiana, and one instantly thinks: New Orleans, Mardi Gras, great food and usually in that order. But, Louisiana is actually a world-class golf destination. And nowhere is that more evident than along the Audubon Golf Trail. Named for naturalist and artist John James Audubon the Trail features 12 exceptional golf courses that showcase the natural beauty of this “Sportsman’s Paradise.” Audubon was so inspired by the natural wonders and wildlife of Louisiana that he painted a number of his famous bird studies here. Coincidentally, all the courses on the trail are members of the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary for Golf Courses, a program dedicated to protecting the environment and preserving the natural heritage of the game of golf.
